a month agoWow - what a location! The surroundings are absolutely stunning, and it truly felt like an authentic Albanian experience. I wouldn’t have wanted to miss that! That said, five days is too long without a car to explore the area. There are no activities for guests, and the staff keep very much to themselves - we found ourselves walking around several times trying to find someone. The pool was gorgeous and really the highlight of the place, but far too cold to use - definitely not heated. We had our room cleaned only twice during our stay - both times because we asked for it. Normally we don’t mind, but with a baby and diapers, that’s kind of necessary. We also requested baby meals at specific times, which staff initially said was fine, but when it came to it, we had to wait because they’d either forgotten or couldn’t do it after all. Communication between staff was clearly poor - good thing we had backup food for our son. The food was good overall. We went through almost the entire menu, and I was only disappointed that some meat wasn’t in season (so we couldn’t try it - which is fair enough) and that the lamb was a bit dry for my taste. But I come from a culture where sauce is common, and there was none here - that’s just a matter of preference, not quality. Everything else we tried was genuinely delicious. Overall: come for the views and peace, not the service. Otherwise, it’s still a must-try for the experience.
