The iconic Gjeravica summit, standing proud at 2656 meters, is less than 3-hour hike from our retreat, promising breathtaking vistas and a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, within just 1 to 2 hours of hiking, you’ll find yourself in the presence of serene alpine lakes, each a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. As you step into the realm of these captivating trails, you’ll uncover the untamed beauty of the Albanian Alps and forge memories that will stay with you long after you leave our tranquil cabin.

To reach our cabin, brace yourself for an exhilarating 4×4 drive through the 7.5 km rugged terrain . The road up lies in the valley of Deçani, following the meandering path of the river Lumbardhi. For those seeking a more immersive connection with nature, an alternative awaits: a fulfilling 2-hour hike from the last point accessible by ordinary vehicles. This hike adds an extra layer of adventure, allowing you to fully absorb the surroundings before arriving at your ultimate destination.

Altitude and Fresh Water: Our cabin is located at an altitude of 1830 meters, allowing you to experience the beauty of the Albanian Alps from a unique perspective. You’ll have access to fresh, mountain-sourced water, ensuring a refreshing and natural hydration option during your stay.
Electricity and Energy Usage: The cabin is equipped with a battery system that provides electricity for lighting, charging phones, laptops, and cameras. To keep the battery charged, a solar panel is provided, and guests are kindly requested to charge the battery daily using this solar panel. We encourage responsible energy use, and while the battery can accommodate devices consuming up to 300 watts, we ask you to optimize your energy usage to ensure everyone’s comfort.
Warm Water and Kitchen Facilities: You’ll enjoy warm water for your comfort, provided by a Domestic Hot Water system within a wood boiler stove. The kitchen features a gas cooktop, allowing you to prepare meals with ease while enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
